The Role

As a Talent Sourcer at Kofi Group, youll be on the front lines of our search process. Your mission will be to find, engage, and qualify software engineering candidates for our portfolio of startup clients. Youll partner closely with our recruitment team, leveraging both traditional and creative sourcing methods to uncover hidden talent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with recruiters to understand role requirements, client needs, and candidate personas for highly technical positions (e.g., backend engineers, full stack engineers, infrastructure, AI/ML, product management).
  • Build and execute targeted sourcing strategies across LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Stack Overflow, Slack/Discord groups, and other niche platforms.
  • Proactively engage and follow up with passive candidates
  • Stay on top of engineering hiring trends, emerging technologies, and talent market dynamics to continuously refine sourcing strategies.

What Were Looking For

  • Proven experience sourcing software engineers (2+ years in technical sourcing or recruiting).
  • Strong track record with LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean search; familiarity with GitHub, Stack Overflow, AngelList, and other technical communities is a plus.
  • Understanding of software engineering roles, skills, and terminology (you dont need to code, but you should know the difference between React and React Native).
