Digital Media Buyer Description
Digital media buyers seek to optimize that eye-on-screen time by researching the digital habits of target demographics and buying up ad space that is most relevant to brands seeking to influence that target demographic.
Job Description:
1. Target key demographics and develop media campaigns in the SEA market, focusing on the Malaysia and Singapore markets for financial products.
2. Develop media plans and budgets that best fit the companys needs. Create ad schedules and adjust them when appropriate
3. Documenting best practices and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
4. Negotiate ad space and airtime rates with vendors. Assessing the competition to go into the value assessment for a specific publishing spot.
5. Manage the budget mainly to be physically tasked with assessing the market and putting together a cost spent under budget, as well as taking care of expenses.
6. Track ad money spent, and return on investment by providing the company with a prospectus detailing the projected monetary returns of the ad placement.
7. Watch the ad run and optimize the results. Ensure ad quality and placement, as well as relevance to campaign objectives
8. Make recommendations for any changes that should be made to the campaign to optimize its conversion ratios.
9. Maintaining a customer-oriented approach with excellent communication skills, high standards of numerical analysis, and effective multitasking abilities.
Qualifications:
- Having a work experience as a Media Buyer for international market at least 5 years
- Confident with the SEA market while focusing on Malaysian. Familiar with Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan markets is an advantage.
- Having a media buying background from financial products, banking, or related industries will be an advantage.
- Experience working in digital ad platforms such as Facebook Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaigns, or other programmatic media platforms.
- Strong background in using media analytics tools
- Superior negotiation and communication skills. Pleasant personality with a highly energetic vibe.
- Good communication in English plus Bahasa Malay. Mandarin is an advantage.
- Ability to multitask and organize multiple projects.
- Excellent attention to detail. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
