Sales Director Europe - Sealing solutions
Astrantia Talent is recruiting exclusively for a highly innovative and technologically oriented globally operating business, committed to provide their customers with high-performance sealing solutions.
The company not only has an extensive research and development department, but also in-house testing facilities where new designs and customer-specific material mixtures are further developed.
Headquarters are located in the US with additional locations in Germany and Austria.
Tasks
- Act as the head of the European sales teams across industries and are responsible for building long-term and sustainable business relationships
- You are part of the European leadership team and act as a member of the commercial organizational unit on a global level
- Set the sales goals together with the management, track the relevant KPIs and ensure that sales targets are achieved
- Independently develop medium and long-term customer strategies and implement them independently with the sales teams
- Take on the technical and disciplinary leadership of a highly committed team whose members are spread across different locations
- Observe and analyse the market, develop tailored marketing measures (including social media) and pursue them independently
- Collect information on new service and product options, special needs, market developments and customer feedback and pass this on directly to the management team
- Prepare and present technical presentations to explain products to new and existing customers and address their specific requirements
- Continuously develop your technical sealing knowledge in relation to the application specifications (speed, temperature, pressure, etc.) and make recommendations on improved materials for the respective application
Profile
- Successfully completed a degree in mechanical engineering, business administration or a comparable qualification
- At least five years of professional experience in sales, of which at least three years in a management position
- Extensive knowledge of seals and sealing solutions
- Very implementation-oriented, customer-oriented and you act with a sense of urgency
- Strong degree of customer orientation, have an entrepreneurial mindset and act accordingly, have a confident demeanour and a high level of problem-solving ability
- High skills in the area of strategic planning and project management
- Highly self-motivated and flexible as well as highly assertive
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
- Willingness to travel
