We are building out a best-in-class accounting function to support our next phase of growth, and we're looking for a Senior Accountant who is ready to roll up their sleeves, take ownership, and help us scale our accounting operations.
Position Summary
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the monthly close process, technical accounting, and day-to-day accounting operations at AssetIntel. This role requires someone who is highly motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across the organization. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in software/SaaS accounting and revenue recognition (ASC 606), and thrives in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
This role reports directly to the CFO and is highly visible within the organization, with the opportunity to make a real impact on the company through financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and revenue recognition entries, in accordance with GAAP and ASC 606.
- Support the month-end and quarter-end close process, helping to drive a continuous close model and meet close deadlines.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
- Maintain and analyze deferred revenue schedules and other revenue-related accounts.
- Lead adoption and processing of deferred commissions in conjunction with US GAAP.
- Lead adoption and processing of internally developed software in conjunction with US GAAP.
- Assist with technical accounting research and documentation, including memos supporting significant judgments and transactions.
- Partner with the CFO and CEO to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Perform monthly flux analysis and detailed revenue by customer and billings filed are prepared timely.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and financial analysis as needed, including support for private equity reporting requirements.
- Own accounts payable operations, including reviewing and reconciling invoices, and ensure vendors are paid timely.
- Identify and implement process improvements across accounting workflows, including leveraging AI and automation to streamline the close, strengthen controls, and drive consistency as a lean team scales.
- Assist in the preparation of supporting schedules and documentation for external audits and tax returns with external firms.
- Perform detailed customer contract review and analysis for non-standard arrangements to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with ASC 606
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives to streamline and automate processes and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- CPA license highly preferred.
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Experience in the software or SaaS industry required.
- Must be based in the United States and located in the Eastern time zone.
- Ability to implement continuous close principles to support zero day close.
- Hands-on experience applying ASC 606 revenue recognition required.
- Experience with NetSuite, Sage and/or Campfire required
- Solid command of U.S. GAAP and a deep understanding of the full close cycle
- High proficiency in Excel; experience with Netsuite a plus
- Experience with AI and automation tools to enable scalable accounting operations and processes
- Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage competing deadlines without sacrificing accuracy
- Highly motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for their work.

- Strong communicator who works effectively both independently and as part of a team.
