A. Overall Purpose of The Job

  • Day to day management of Information and Communication Technology (IT) activities
  • Keeping the office up and running including 24/7 support 365 days a year, for hardware infrastructure, software applications, and telecommunication set-up, and any software and hardware requirements to ensure that Groups IT requirements are met on a timely basis.
  • Ensure that the office practices are in line with Group and Asia Region policies and procedures.

B. Key Responsibilities

Hands-on Technical Support

  • Having the capability and willingness to provide hands-on support to support the IT functions of all the locations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve computer hardware problem & resolve in-house software bugs
  • Be available 24/7 for offsite support.

Network Infrastructure

  • Ensure an efficient, secure and cost-effective IT network infrastructure that supports the companys business operations and conforms to regional and corporate guidelines.
  • Ensure that the network infrastructure is available 24/7, 365 days a year.

Development and Applications

  • Ability to understand the user requirements and perform development to enhance productivity and add value to client.
  • Participate in client related activities where IT involvement can add value to the sales process and client relationship.
  • Ability to translate user requirements to system requirement.
  • Priorities user requirements and manage user expectation.
  • Ensure timely delivery of system deliverables.

Project Management

  • Lead projects as a local IT aligning with the Group and Asia Region IT.

People and Administrative Management

  • Select and groom an IT team, ensuring that the team provides quality service to internal and external customers.
  • Control of G&A of the IT team and look for increasing productive and cost-efficient ways of delivering internal and external services.
  • Ensuring appropriate staffing levels of suitably qualified staff and staff competency levels through external and OJT training.

Performance Focus

  • Be responsible for managing project within time and budget and timely resolution of issues
  • Reporting IT status to Asia Region office.
  • Adherence to Corporate and Asia Region IT guidelines and standards.

Required skills and knowledge

  • Operation, maintenance, design, and construction of in-house infrastructure environment: Microsoft Windows, Azure, Linux OS
  • Resource management for in-house IDC: Microsoft Windows, Linux, AIX
  • Maintenance and construction of network equipment for telecom carriers: Cisco, Catalyst, NetScreen
  • Maintenance and requirement definition of cloud systems for commercial e-commerce sites: FreeBSD, AWS
  • Call center applications (cloud based preferred), CRM (SFDC preferred)
  • Microsoft Applications (Windows, O365, Teams, SharePoint)

Required Languages 

  • English and Korean (high proficiency in both spoking & writing)
