The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the field, demonstrating extensive knowledge and expertise in digital archiving practices, technologies, and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement digital archiving strategies and policies.
- Oversee the acquisition, processing, and preservation of digital assets.
- Ensure compliance with international standards and best practices in digital archiving.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate digital archiving solutions.
- Manage large-scale digital archiving projects, including budgeting and resource allocation.
- Provide expertise on digital preservation technologies and methodologies.
- Conduct training and workshops on digital archiving practices and tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Library Science, Information Science, Archival Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in digital archiving or digital preservation.
- In-depth knowledge of digital archiving standards, practices, and technologies.
- Experience with digital asset management systems and metadata standards.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
