Digital Archiving Expert

Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned Digital Archiving Expert with a robust background in digital preservation and archiving. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the field, demonstrating extensive knowledge and expertise in digital archiving practices, technologies, and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement digital archiving strategies and policies.
• Oversee the acquisition, processing, and preservation of digital assets.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and best practices in digital archiving.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate digital archiving solutions.
• Manage large-scale digital archiving projects, including budgeting and resource allocation.
• Provide expertise on digital preservation technologies and methodologies.
• Conduct training and workshops on digital archiving practices and tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Library Science, Information Science, Archival Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in digital archiving or digital preservation.
• In-depth knowledge of digital archiving standards, practices, and technologies.
• Experience with digital asset management systems and metadata standards.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
