Dean for College of Optometry

• The Dean is the chief executive of the College and its responsible for the entire degree programs, curricular and co-curricular activities within the college.
• The Dean has a central role in achieving the vision/mission statement of the College. To expose students to holistic education and technology-based instruction, and vigorously pursue through research, the discovery of new knowledge responsive to the needs of the global village.
• The Dean provides leadership for all educational planning, administration and academic program development in the College, in the areas of curriculum, faculty, research and students board performance in addition to recruitment, admission, enrollment and retention of students and strengthening its alumni and academic linkages through provision of adequate facilities/resources that meet requirements and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree in Optometry, Master of Arts in College Teaching, Master of Arts in Teaching, Allied Sciences, Education, Administration or Management
Registered Optometrist
With at least (5) years of very satisfactory teaching experience (Optometry Professional Courses)
With at least (2) years of managerial/supervisory competence and technical expertise in school management
Must display qualities of leadership and management skills
