Technical Lead | SaaS Industry | Petaling Jaya

Job Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on Tech Lead to lead the development of our AI SaaS platform. This role combines full-stack engineering, AI product development, and technical leadership
You will be responsible for building scalable systems, integrating AI capabilities, and guiding a small engineering team while working closely with product stakeholders.

What You Will Do:

• Lead the design and development of scalable AI SaaS applications.
• Build and maintain full-stack systems (frontend, backend, APIs, databases).
• Integrate and optimize LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) into production systems.
• Design AI workflows including prompt engineering and RAG-based systems.
• Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions.
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering best practices.
• Mentor and guide junior developers and QA engineers.
• Collaborate with product and AI teams to deliver new features.
• Translate business requirements into technical architecture and solutions.
• Participate in technical planning, roadmap discussions, and product decisions.

What Makes You a Good Fit

• 5–8 years of full-stack development experience.
• Strong backend experience (Node.js / Python / similar).
• Frontend experience (React / Next.js preferred).
• Strong understanding of system design and scalable architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, etc.).
• Experience in prompt engineering and AI workflow design.
• Exposure to RAG systems, embeddings, or vector databases is a plus.
• Experience leading an engineering teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and product thinking mindset.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Must have experience actively coding in current or recent role.
