Position overview:
The Program Lead – Financial Literacy & Digital Inclusion will design, lead, and scale initiatives that empower women through enhanced financial capability and digital access. The role focuses on bridging financial and digital gender gaps by enabling women to confidently use technology, financial tools, and digital platforms for personal, professional, and entrepreneurial growth.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Program Design & Implementation
Design and implement integrated financial literacy and digital inclusion programs tailored to the needs of women across different socio-economic backgrounds.
Develop structured curricula covering digital literacy, financial management, savings, credit, insurance, and digital financial services.
Ensure programs are aligned with organizational goals and national inclusion priorities.
- Financial Literacy Initiatives
Lead initiatives to improve women's understanding of budgeting, savings, banking, credit, investments, and digital payments.
Promote adoption of formal financial systems and responsible financial behaviour.
Collaborate with financial institutions and fintech partners for training and access to services.
- Digital Inclusion & Access to Technology
Identify and implement initiatives to improve women's access to digital devices, internet connectivity, and digital platforms.
Partner with community centers, government bodies, and technology providers to establish and scale digital hubs.
Enable women to confidently use digital tools for education, livelihoods, and service access.
- Digital & Financial Entrepreneurship
Facilitate programs that support women in leveraging digital platforms for entrepreneurship and income generation.
Provide guidance on digital marketing, online marketplaces, digital payments, and financial planning for women-led enterprises.
Support the establishment, growth, and sustainability of women-led businesses.
- Cybersecurity & Digital Safety
Organize workshops and campaigns on online safety, cybersecurity, data privacy, and responsible digital and financial behavior.
Build awareness around digital fraud, financial scams, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Partnerships & Stakeholder Management
Build and manage strong partnerships with educational institutions, technology partners, financial institutions, NGOs, and government agencies.
Work closely with internal RF and RIL teams to ensure seamless program execution.
Personal Qualifications and experience:
- Educational Qualifications - Masters degree in Finance, Information Technology, Digital Marketing, Social Development, or a related field
- Experience (Must Have / Good to Have) - Minimum 10 years of experience in financial inclusion, digital inclusion, or large-scale program management.
- Experience working with women-centric development programs is strongly preferred.
- Functional Competencies - Proven track record in implementing financial literacy and digital inclusion initiatives.
- Strong understanding of financial systems, digital platforms, and inclusion challenges faced by women.
- Program design, monitoring, evaluation, and impact measurement expertise.
- Behavioural Competencies - Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- High levels of empathy, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to women empowerment.
