Our partner organization is a multi-disciplinary development sector consulting firm offering a range of integrated, innovative, and high-quality services across several sectors and practices. Their Social and Economic Empowerment (SEE) practice works towards building girl capital, empowering women, and nurturing resilient communities. It focuses on creating inclusive and sustainable solutions including but not limited to policy development, capacity building, adaptive management, community mobilization, behavioral change communication, deepening social safety nets, beneficiary feedback analysis, poverty assessment, and evidence-based monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Review the current Working Women Hostel infrastructure available in hotspots (e.g. Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, etc), document availability, and challenges, and forecast the demand based on the growth potential/plans and the current operating models.
- Design innovative funding models, including public-private partnerships and blended finance approaches to promote private sector investments in building and operating working women hostels in hotspots.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to mobilize private sector participation and funding in skilling.
- Identify and engage potential corporates and high-net-worth individuals for skilling and hostels.
- Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive evaluations to assess inclusivity and gender-friendliness across organizations.
- Build and nurture partnerships with private sector entities, industry associations, and other relevant stakeholders with a view to increasing FLFP in their workforce, especially at the entry-level.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to advocate for the integration of gender-inclusive practices at various businesses.
- Facilitate the adoption of gender-friendly certifications of businesses to drive widespread recognition and compliance.
As job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the incumbent may be required to undertake other duties as determined by the Reporting manager that are broadly in line with the above key responsibilities.
Essential
- A master's degree in public policy, development studies, or a related field from a recognized university is essential.
- At least 12-15 years of professional work experience at the national level, with significant experience in strategizing/building public infrastructure using innovate models of mobilising private sector capital.
- Proven experience in leading similar initiatives with ministries and government departments.
- Flexibility to travel extensively within India.
- Strong oral and written communication skills both in Hindi and English.
