Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Fundraising Manager to drive Climate Asia’s fundraising efforts. This role requires a professional with a strong track record of securing multi-million-dollar funding, deep connections with donors and funding agencies, and expertise in positioning organisations for significant growth. You will play a pivotal role in advancing Climate Asia’s mission by leading the design and execution of an ambitious fundraising strategy.

As the senior leader in fundraising, you will cultivate relationships with key donors, craft compelling narratives aligned with Climate Asia’s impact, and collaborate across teams to ensure programmatic priorities are met.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Strategy and Execution

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to scale Climate Asia’s operations and impact.

  • Identify, prioritise, and pursue funding opportunities, including institutional grants, philanthropic donations, CSR partnerships, and innovative financing mechanisms.

  • Build a sustainable funding pipeline that aligns with Climate Asia’s mission and growth goals.

Donor Engagement and Relationship Building

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, foundations, and corporate partners to ensure continued support and funding.

  • Organise and lead donor presentations, networking events, and high-impact meetings to communicate Climate Asia’s mission and achievements.

  • Act as the key point of contact for high-value donors, ensuring transparency and accountability in all interactions.

Proposal Development

  • Lead the creation of high-quality, tailored proposals for diverse funding opportunities, ensuring alignment with donor priorities.

  • Collaborate with program teams to craft proposals that highlight measurable outcomes and Climate Asia’s unique value proposition.

  • Develop compelling narratives showcasing Climate Asia’s impact and vision for transformative climate action.

Grant Management and Reporting

  • Oversee grant agreements, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and reporting expectations.

  • Work closely with the Grants Manager to prepare and submit timely, accurate progress reports that demonstrate program impact.

Collaboration Across Entities

  • Partner with Climate Asia’s entities and programs to align funding needs with organisational priorities.

  • Foster cross-functional knowledge sharing to present a cohesive and unified narrative to funders.

Market Research and Insights

  • Stay ahead of trends in climate change and gender equity funding landscapes, identifying emerging opportunities.

  • Explore innovative funding models and mechanisms to diversify Climate Asia’s funding streams.

Key Qualifications

  • Proven experience (1015 years) in fundraising, business development, or a related role, with a strong preference for nonprofit or social impact sectors.

  • Demonstrated ability to raise at least INR 20 Cr ($2.4M+) annually, with a track record of securing multi-year and high-value grants.

  • Deep knowledge of climate change and gender equity funding landscapes, including institutional and philanthropic funding channels.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience crafting compelling proposals, donor pitches, and presentations.

  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills, with a collaborative approach to working across diverse teams.

  • Results-driven mindset with a history of meeting or exceeding ambitious fundraising targets.

  • Proficiency in CRM tools, fundraising platforms, and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
