We are seeking a talented and analytical Data/ Business Analyst to join our team. As a Data/ Business Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to extract valuable insights and support data-driven decision-making processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements, design data models, and generate reports that contribute to organizational growth and success.

Main tasks & responsibilities:

Data Collection and Preparation:

  • Gather and collect data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Cleanse, transform, and format data to ensure consistency and usability.
  • Develop data acquisition and data quality assurance processes.

Data Analysis and Interpretation:

  • Apply statistical analysis techniques to explore and interpret large datasets.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and correlations in data to uncover insights and opportunities.
  • Perform advanced analytics, such as predictive modeling and segmentation, to support business goals.

Data Visualization and Reporting:

  • Create visually appealing and informative reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Communicate complex data findings and insights in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.
  • Develop interactive data visualizations to facilitate data exploration and understanding.

Business Intelligence and Decision Support:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and provide data-driven recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to drive operational improvements.

Data Governance and Compliance:

  • Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Establish data governance frameworks and best practices.
  • Maintain documentation of data processes and procedures.
  • Able to travel to project sites if required for data collection and management.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience as Project, Data or Business Analyst with 2-5 years of experience in supervisory role
  • Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Excel or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and predictive modeling.
  • Knowledge of data cleansing, transformation, and preparation techniques specific to forestry, agriculture, or horticulture data.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in the context of forestry, agriculture, or horticulture domains.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders from various departments.
  • Experience with data governance, data quality, and data management principles is desirable.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and algorithms is a plus.
