Key Responsibilities:

  • Budget Management: Develop and manage annual budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and donor requirements.
  • Grant Management: Oversee grant financials, including budgeting, monitoring, and reporting to ensure compliance with donor requirements and timelines. Coordinate with program managers to ensure proper allocation and use of grant funds.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial reports, statements, and projections for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Audits: Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory and donor-specific requirements. Oversee daily accounting activities, prepare financial statements and reports, and conduct regular audits for compliance.
  • FCRA and Financial Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulations. Ensure compliance with all FCRA regulations and guidelines, prepare and submit FCRA returns and reports as required, and maintain accurate records of all FCRA transactions.
  • Donor Reporting: Provide detailed financial reports to donors, ensuring transparency and accuracy in the usage of funds.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with program and operations teams to ensure financial alignment with organizational activities.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective controls and procedures.
  • Payroll Management: Manage and process the companys payroll system accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, and address and resolve any payroll-related issues or discrepancies.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the processing of invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports, manage accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely payments and collections, and regularly reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • 5-8 years of experience in the non-profit sector, in finance and grant management.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Knowledge of non-profit accounting principles and regulations.
  • Experience with donor reporting and compliance.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong ethical standards and integrity.
