About the job Development Manager
We are hiring a Development Manager to assist in growing and delivering our client organization's development strategy. This role will support the CEO in defining long-term strategic goals, creating a pipeline strategy, and managing our funder network.
Location:
- Preferred locations: Mumbai, Pune, or Bangalore.
- Remote work option available.
Key Responsibilities:
Development Strategy and Planning:
- Support the CEO in defining and implementing long-term organizational goals.
- Assist in creating a comprehensive pipeline strategy.
- Research new trends to develop innovative approaches and campaigns.
Business Development:
- Identify and create collateral (publications, videos, online communications, etc.) to support fundraising activities.
- Lead direct marketing and crowdfunding campaigns, including mail and online appeals.
- Organize and coordinate fundraising events.
CSR & Partnerships:
- Identify potential CSR partnerships to bring in revenue and support.
- Plan and execute persuasive campaigns and pitches for donors.
- Prepare donor proposals, concept notes, reports, and high-impact communications to engage prospective donors.
Individual Donors (HNI):
- Develop a pipeline of new high-net-worth individuals (HNI) donors through outreach.
- Research and identify prospective HNI donors and collaborate with the CEO to present the organization's work to secure high-level donations.
- Strengthen relations with existing donors and support the CEO in conversion efforts.
Donor Stewardship:
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for long-term, high-potential donors.
- Curate bespoke engagement opportunities to deepen existing partnerships.
- Develop strategies for donor renewals and work with the Communications Team to enhance donor experience.
- Manage ongoing donor communications and engagement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate/Postgraduate in any field.
- 3+ years of relevant full-time work experience, preferably in fundraising, partnerships, and network-building.
- B2B Sales/Business Development experience is preferred.
- A background in Investment Banking is a plus.
