Reporting To: Associate Vice President
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Build and manage State PMU teams and other projects at the org. and strengthen their capacity to deliver outcomes
- Manage relationships with all key senior stakeholders, effectively advocate for the org.'s approach for assessments, and ensure that the program design and deliverables are able to effectively translate the org.'s ideology into action
- Establish strong project management structures and processes to review progress against outlined goals
- Support and guide the PMU teams who are working closely for the creation and capacity building of assessment cells, and design, implementation, and analysis of data for large-scale assessments
- Coordinate with internal teams (Content, Product, etc.) and collaborate effectively to provide technical support across all projects and achieve deliverables throughout all stages of the program
- Establish and manage relationships with stakeholders to strengthen program implementation across large-scale assessments conducted by the org.
- Ensure quality and rigor of assessments and capacity building across key projects, ensuring quality standards
- Conduct assessment quality checks through rigorous reviews and finalization
- Coordinate and collaborate with leadership to build an environment of collective responsibility and accountability
- Mentor and motivate teams to achieve productivity and engagement
- Work closely with HR to hire and lead the team with integrity and to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment
- Drive and lead performance reviews, and provide guidance and support on professional development to ensure an engaged and skilled workforce
- Apart from the above, you may have to share some responsibilities as per the needs of the organization from time to time
Qualifications and Experience
- 7-10 years of experience, preferably in the education or development sector, with at least 4 years of relevant managerial experience.
Required Skills
- A strong understanding of education, instruction, and assessments, with a specific focus on training and capacity building.
- Strong understanding of India's education landscape.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to learn fast, and grasp the organization's models and business.
- Attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to visualize and create concise and comprehensible content for various stakeholders.
- The ability to work collaboratively in teams and independently as a self-starter.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Problem-solving attitude.
- Meticulous documentation skills
- Willingness to travel to various remote locations.
- Strong oral and written knowledge of Tamil.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Candidates who have previously handled large-scale education-related projects.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and analyzing large-scale data.
- Experience working with government and/or NGOs.
