We are hiring for a Global Health organization in India that is growing at a phenomenal pace. To support the growth, our client is looking for an experienced, self-motivated, and proactive Manager to join their India HR team and manage the HR operations.

As a Manager-HR, you will be responsible for seamlessly managing the HR operation activities and supporting the HR function. You will supervise the entire employee life cycle, and implement HR initiatives and strategies while providing expertise and improvising the function with a growth mindset.

Directly reports to Head- Human Resources

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment:

  • Understand position requirements from the managers, align with career steps, and advise the best approach/channel for talent acquisition.
  • Supervise the HR team in ensuring the recruitment process is seamless and support in ensuring a timely and efficient process.
  • Ensure the teams are following the pay principles for negotiation and provide advice where required to the team and managers.
  • Build successful channels for attracting, assessing, and selecting the highest quality candidates most efficiently.
  • Develop creative approaches for identifying and recruiting high-quality candidates, including broadening the pool of diverse talent
  • Ensure HRMIS/Trackers and systems are updated by the team members.
  • Review the current recruitment forms, guides, and processes for continuous improvement.
  • Training managers in best practices in recruitment.
  • Ensure positive candidate and hiring manager experience.

Onboarding/Inductions:

  • Supervise the employee onboarding as per role requirement
  • Ensure new employees adjust to the new environment
  • In consultation with the manager identify any early learning needs
  • Support employees moving across teams or entities
  • Gather feedback from new joiners and continuously improve the new joiner experience.
  • Support and improve consultant quarterly inductions.

Consultancy Contract Management:

  • Work with the Project Support Coordinators to implement the consultancy contracts as per the process
  • Ensure consultant leaver's process is managed as per process and law.
  • Supervise documentation and data management is done accurately by teams.
  • Advise improvising the consultancy contract management process.

Probations/Extensions:

  • Work with the HR team and managers to ensure probations and extensions are managed well.
  • Identify training needs during probations and support managers and new joiners.
  • Work with the HR team to ensure probations and extensions are executed promptly.

Other HR Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head, of HR in implementing global initiatives and projects.
  • Dissemination of information to teams for any updates in policy/strategy.
  • Support the Head of HR in the annual pay review process
  • Continuously promote Learning and Development
  • Lead the HR team in employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives
  • Grievance and conflict management wherever required
  • Accountable for HRMIS/systems and trackers to be updated at all times in coordination with the team.
  • Responsible for implementing all HR legal compliance.
  • Respond to internal and external HR queries
  • Ensure timely execution and compliance related to consultancy contract management, probations, employee extensions, documentation & other HR letters.
  • Provide advice on HR policies to employees.
  • Participate in Global HR projects.
  • Any other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Qualifications: Bachelors/Masters degree in Human Resources and/or specialization in Organizational Behaviour or a related field is required.
  • Minimum 12-15 years of experience in HR Operations, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial position or a similar capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance is a must.
  • Proactive, take accountability of tasks and outcomes.
  • Extremely high attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong expertise in leading a team.
  • Proficient in using MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and particularly Excel)
  • Experience in using HRIS software.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness, with the ability to influence others to achieve common goals;
  • Possess a service-driven approach towards internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of proficiency in English and the ability to work well autonomously;
  • Excellent team player, with demonstrated ability to collaborate in small teams and with a wide range of varying stakeholders;
  • Well-organized and efficient, with the capacity to work independently and multitask under pressure and deadlines.
  • The ability to handle confidentiality is a must.
