About the Role

The Program Associate for Public Health will be responsible for carrying out research initiatives around health policies and be expected to put out a point of view, based on the use of technology and our platform principles. This will require working with internal and external stakeholders to understand problem areas, gather suitable data for analysis, and work on prioritizing problem areas to maximize impact. This position will be based in Bangalore and with some travel (domestic and international) as needed. The position will be reporting to the Associate Program Director.

Roles and responsibilities

1. Data Analysis and Research:
a. Create primary research templates to capture feedback and insights from
stakeholders that would help drive efficiency in current operations and identify
newer focus areas in the public health space.
b. Perform secondary research and derive insights to enable effective decision
making and building the public health strategy.
c. Gather data, including campaign data from Health Campaign
Manager, to carry out analysis to glean insights to drive collective action.
d. Create reports such as end of campaign reports etc., as necessary.
e. Create artifacts (as necessary) that can be published with stakeholders.
f. Work on publishing white papers/research analysis papers in appropriate
forums.

2. Stakeholder Management and Coordination:
a. Work with the health mission team, participate in meetings, offer points of view, present findings, and drive action based on data.
b. Influence internal and external stakeholders on the course of action and
prioritization of work items.
c. Work with the mission team to support various aspects of program delivery
including the creation of documentation/ templates, training users, etc.

Skills required

1. 4+ years experience supporting program implementation in the Public Health domain.
2. A graduate degree in engineering or related fields or a Master's degree in any of the following: Business Administration or Public Health will be a plus.
3. The candidate needs to have good written and verbal communication skills (English) with an ability to understand and effectively articulate the ideas or problem statements pertaining to the domain.
4. The candidate must have good interpersonal skills with a desire to reach out to different stakeholders, understand their problems, and work towards solutions.
5. The candidate must have experience in working with data and carrying out analysis to derive conclusions.
6. Keenness and/or experience of working with the government is desirable. Prior exposure to the public health sector, development sector, or consulting is desirable.
7. Documentation skills: Prepare presentations, user manuals, training material, and reports, and work with Excel sheets.
8. The candidate must have experience in conducting training for groups.
