Team - Assessments

Reporting to - Senior Manager

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1) Project Management, Operations and Strategy

a) Lead Project Management within Assessments, handling multiple projects simultaneously

b) Understand the project requirements and coordinate with internal teams as well as external partners (State Governments, Assessment Vendors, Experts, and NGOs) to deliver the required project outputs

c) Manage all stakeholders, lead meetings, communications, and relationship management with clients

d) Create research design, and build qualitative and quantitative tools for data collection

e) Build analysis frameworks, and carry out analysis to come up with program insights

f) Ensure error-free deliverables like assessment blueprints, data collection tools, data analyses, reports, and dashboards aligned to project requirements

g) Plan and execute all project streams with adherence to timelines and financials

h) Design processes and procedures to ensure high productivity and a peaceful work environment

i) Develop strategic roadmaps, implementation plans, as well as risk mitigation strategies

j) Manage organization's internal information and knowledge repositories


2) Large Scale Assessments, Capacity Building and Technical Transformation

a) Manage activities related to capacity building of education officials and practitioners

b) Conduct various project-related activities like evaluator trainings and post-analysis workshops

c) Create and execute large scale benchmarking and diagnostics assessments

d) Establish and develop technical capacity to create and conduct high-quality assessments


3) Organizational Development

a) Ensure capacity building and training of the team through regular learning and development

b) Support in activities to build and strengthen internal expertise around pedagogy and impact evaluation

c) Expand the scope of projects through high quality dissemination interaction with State Governments, working papers, articles, blogs, etc.

d) Travel for project needs, and document trip reports of the same appropriately


Qualifications and Experience

4-7 years of experience in the education or development sector, with at least 2 years of relevant managerial experience.

1. A strong understanding of education, instruction, and assessments, with a specific focus on training and capacity building.

2. Strong understanding of India's education landscape.

3. Effective verbal and written communication skills and stakeholder management skills.

4. The ability to learn fast, and grasp organization's models and business.

5. Attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.

6. Ability to visualize and create concise and comprehensible content for various stakeholders.

7. The ability to work collaboratively in teams and independently as a self-starter.

8. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.

9. The ability to draw key insights and recommendations from the given data.

10. Familiarity with Excel to analyze medium to complex-level data.

11. Problem-solving attitude.

12. Meticulous documentation skills

13. Willingness to travel to various remote locations.


Preferred skills and qualifications

1. Candidates who have previously handled large-scale education-related projects.

2. Demonstrated experience in designing and analyzing large-scale data.

3. Experience working with government and/or NGOs.
