Purpose of the Role
As the Associate Director of Fundraising & Donor Relations, you will be a key leader in cultivating partnerships and developing strategies to secure financial support for our organization. Reporting to the Executive leadership, you will be responsible for building and managing relationships with foundations, corporations, and HNIs, as well as overseeing the development of a robust fundraising pipeline.

Fundraising Strategy Development:
1.Develop comprehensive fundraising strategies in collaboration with the Executive Leadership.
2.Collaborate with the Founders to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to secure funding for the organization's programs and initiatives. Ensure alignment of fundraising initiatives with organizational goals and priorities.
Fundraising Pipeline:
1.Lead the development of a dynamic fundraising pipeline.
2.Research, identify and prioritize potential funding opportunities, ensuring a steady flow of prospects, create meaningful shortlists, and populate the fundraising funnel.
3.Utilize gained expertise in the development sector to identify and engage potential donors, sponsors, and partners.
4.Conduct prospect research to identify major gifts and planned giving opportunities and assist in the development of appropriate strategies for cultivation and solicitation.
Partnership Cultivation:
1.Cultivate strong and strategic partnerships with NGOs, foundations, and corporations aligned with the organization's mission.
2.Effectively Pitch the Proposals to the Potential Donors. To be able to achieve set Fundraising Targets.
3. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to enhance fundraising opportunities.
Donor Relationship Management:
1.Manage relationships with existing donors, providing excellent stewardship, and ensuring ongoing engagement.
2. Draft engaging outreach emails and follow-up, assist in organizing and coordinating fundraising events and campaigns, including logistics, outreach, communication to nurture strong relationships with donors and supporters.
3. Collaborate with internal teams to customize donor communication and recognition strategies.
4.Assist in implementation & maintenance of robust donor management system to track & cultivate relationships with donors, ensuring accurate & updated donor information.
Strategic Collaboration:
1.Provide insights and feedback to enhance the overall impact of fundraising activities.
2.Assist in the development of compelling proposals, grant applications, and fundraising appeals to effectively communicate our organization's mission and projects.
3.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the effective implementation and monitoring of funded projects.
Qualifications
1. Full time masters degree in social sciences, management, or social work from Premier B-School.
2. 10+ years of experience in fundraising with at least 5-7 years, within the development sector is essential. Knowledge of the social sector landscape, current trends, fundraising best practices.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Canva, Salesforce for Nonprofits and other software tools with a high level of attention to detail and design aesthetics to create impactful presentations, reports, and fundraising materials.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong proposal writing abilities and the ability to craft compelling outreach emails.
5. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to effectively engage with donors, sponsors, and funding agencies. Willingness to travel for donor meetings, events, and conferences.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
7. Self-motivated, result-oriented; ability to meet deadlines.
8. Ability to work independently and proactively, without support staff.
9. Strong strategizing, planning, and organizational skills, and an ability to be able to set priorities, plan timelines and meet deadlines.
