Purpose of the Job:

This position involves creating innovative academic products that enhance student outcomes and promote greater adoption in schools. We are seeking a Curriculum Development Director, English, who is passionate about transforming education and understands the essentials of delivering quality education. The role requires working on world-class educational products with the aim of improving English proficiency in students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new and innovative academic products focused on building English language proficiency that lead the market.
  • Incorporate global research and best practices in language learning.
  • Lead the English team and oversee the entire portfolio of English products, from development to delivery.
  • Ensure products significantly improve English proficiency among students.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to guarantee the highest quality products and support the organization's revenue targets.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Lead the English language academics team.
  • Advance the development of English teaching methodologies.
  • Design products for a diverse range of schools, from low fees to high fees.
  • Oversee portfolio management, planning, production, and editorial standards to maintain excellence in product quality.
  • Develop strategies based on competitor analysis, pedagogy trends, and market research to meet future educational needs.
  • Design digital assets and assessments that drive product success.
  • Work with academic teams, authors, and freelancers to develop and execute an editorial strategy for high-quality content.
  • Monitor and improve production and delivery processes, ensuring timely product releases.
  • Stay abreast of market developments to create forward-thinking products that maintain a competitive edge.
  • Improve internal processes and resources as needed for efficiency.
  • Design and deliver high-quality training for teachers and school leaders.
  • Mentor and develop a strong team of editors and content creators.
  • Lead teacher training modules and analyze student learning outcomes to continuously enhance product efficacy.

Ideal Experience Profile:

  • 15+ years of experience in the K-12 education industry.
  • A strong academic background, preferably with a Masters degree from a top-tier institution in India or abroad.
  • Expertise in teaching the English language.
  • Proven success in developing high-efficacy products.
  • Experience building external partnerships and delivering impactful training sessions to support product implementation.
  • Experience managing the development of print and digital products through collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Proven ability to set budgets and deliver ROI on projects.
  • Familiarity with educational technology solutions.
