The organization has a vision for a healthier world where everyone has the micronutrients they need to survive and thrive. We work toward this by enabling access to micronutrient-rich wheat flour to reduce and prevent iron deficiency anaemia. 

Position overview

The organization is looking to add an experienced Hiring Manager to its Operations team. Our team has grown rapidly over the last year (from 3 to 8 team members), and the team is likely to grow even more as the organisation scales rapidly.

The Hiring Manager position is ideal for someone who wants to learn what it takes to hire for a rapidly scaling organisation. The team has grown from 30 team members at the start of 2023 to more than 60 team members currently and we expect to grow to more than 100 team members by June 2025. We expect the Hiring Manager to be responsible for identifying and recruiting high-quality, impact-oriented professionals, enhancing our organisational brand to position The organization (FH) as a top employer, and establishing strong partnerships with university and industry networks to build a robust talent pipeline. The Hiring Manager will play a key role in unlocking The organizations ability to reach more beneficiaries and drive meaningful impact to health outcomes for millions of people across India.

Responsibilities and activities

  • Hiring Planning and Strategy:
    • Develop and execute hiring plans in alignment with organisational goals and workforce needs.

    • Collaborate with department heads and senior management to forecast hiring requirements and ensure alignment with the organisations strategic objectives.

  • Partnerships & Brand Building
    • Conceptualise and lead all partnerships with universities, industry associations and other relevant networks to build a robust pipeline of high impact professionals

    • Work closely with the Communications team to create digital content that showcases The organizations work, its team and its values to the wider world.

  • Process Improvements
    • Lead the implementation and management of hiring systems and process upgrades, ensuring they meet organisational needs and improve efficiency.

    • Continuously evaluate and refine hiring processes and tools to enhance effectiveness and streamline workflows.

    • Monitor the performance of recruitment systems, troubleshoot issues, and work with Operations leadership to resolve any problems.

  • Recruitment and Selection:
    • Oversee the full recruitment life cycle, including job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.

    • Develop and implement strategies to attract high-quality candidates, including but not restricted to university and industry partnerships and targeted recruitment campaigns.

  • Onboarding and Integration:
    • Manage the entire onboarding process for new hires, including orientation, training schedules, and integration into the organisational culture.

    • Collaborate with HR and department leaders to create and deliver effective onboarding programs and materials.

    • Monitor new hire progress and gather feedback to continuously improve the onboarding experience.

  • Stakeholder Coordination:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding hiring needs, recruitment updates, and process improvements.

    • Facilitate communication between hiring teams, HR, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth coordination and collaboration.

    • Provide regular updates and reports to the leadership team on hiring progress, challenges, and outcomes.

  • Data Management and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of hiring activities, including candidate tracking, recruitment metrics, and process improvements.

    • Prepare and present reports on hiring performance as per organisational KPIs

    • Use data and insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvements in hiring practices.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and other Senior Leaders

Candidate profile

  • 5-7 years of experience in Recruitment roles, preferably in the field of social development, with substantial hands-on experience working on Recruitment and Onboarding.

  • Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HR databases

  • Experience with (phone and in-person) interviews, candidate screening and evaluation

  • Familiarity with social media and other professional networks

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams in both English and Hindi.

  • Strong analytical capabilities to be able to identify and organise complex problem solving and decision making

  • Exceptional writing skills - ability to draft high quality memos to drive internal alignment and decision making in English.
