About the role: As a Communication Manager, you will play a critical role in enhancing our brand's visibility and ensuring that our mission and accomplishments reach a broader audience. We are seeking an individual with outstanding communication skills, a flair for both Hindi and English script writing, and a proven ability to secure publication in relevant magazines and
newspapers.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Communication Strategy

  • At org level - Bring higher order visibility and recall to the organisation and its work by targeting relevant audience through publications, speaker engagements and participation in conferences, amongst others
  • At program level - Work with program teams to enable them to disseminate program objectives and key findings from the program with relevant audience in policy ecosystem

Content Creation:

  • In collaboration with the program teams, develop engaging and compelling content in both Hindi and English for various platforms, including articles, press releases, conference participation, blog posts, program videos, and social media.

Media Relations:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key media houses and journalists.
  • Pitch stories and secure coverage in relevant magazines, newspapers and online publications.

Publication Management:

  • Research and identify suitable platforms for publishing articles and
    reports.
  • Coordinate the publication of thought leadership pieces in industry relevant magazines and newspapers.

Brand Messaging:

  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all communication
    channels.
  • Craft and maintain a strong and authentic voice for the organisation.

Public Relations:

  • Develop and execute PR strategies to increase the organisation's visibility.
    Prepare executives for media interviews and speaking engagements.

Social Media Management:

  • Oversee the creation and distribution of content across our social
    media platforms.
  • Monitor social media trends and engage with the online community.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Track and analyze the performance of communication initiatives.
  • Use data to refine communication strategies and make data-driven
    decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a
    related field.
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a similar role with a track record
    of successful media placements.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both Hindi and
    English.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks
    simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using communication tools, including social media
    management platforms.
  • An understanding of impact consulting and a passion for contributing to
    positive change.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
