Purpose of the Job:

The Senior Curriculum Managers along with their team of Curriculum Development Managers help us achieve this mission by designing world-class curricula, assessments and lesson plans that meet the needs of affordable schools in all parts of India. Create best-in-class learning products in India. Manage specific projects and deliver them within agreed-upon timelines. Highly competent professionals who are excited by the idea of democratizing quality teaching tools and techniques to students and teachers in APSs.

Must:

  1. Creating error free curriculum and content (for their subject) which will be consumed by teachers and students.
  2. Researching best practices and innovating new ways to enhance learning in partner schools.
  3. Visiting schools from time-to-time and engaging with field teams to understand on-ground requirements for delivering excellent education.
  4. Coaching and managing a team of Subject Matter Experts & Curriculum Development Managers, along with supporting them in their professional development.
  5. Reviewing and providing feedback on content created by Senior Curriculum Architects and Curriculum Development Managers, to ensure that it is high quality and error-free.
  6. Setting clear goals for the team and ensuring achievement as per quality standards.
  7. Creating clear curriculum development processes and guidelines for consistent and efficient delivery of product.
  8. Managing the project closely and ensuring their whole team delivers the product on time with quality.

Should:

  1. 5-6 years of experience in developing content and lesson plans in a particular subject, including experience in teaching using that content or working closely with teachers to ensure quality delivery of that content.
  2. 2-3 years of experience in coaching and managing a team.
  3. Experience in managing projects (goal-setting, monitoring, providing feedback, goal achievement).
  4. Graduate degree in Engineering preferred for content development in Math and Science, Bachelor of Arts
  5. (English) preferred for content development in English and Bachelor of Arts
  6. (Political Science) preferred for content development in Social Studies.
  7. Specialization in Early Childhood Development is a requirement for content development for pre-primary.
  8. Experience of working with teachers from schools with limited resources is preferred.
  9. Honesty, integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to collaborate.
  10. Growth mindset and ability to receive feedback on content with an open mind.
  11. Strong problem solving and communication abilities; is organized and efficient.
  12. Ability to review team members work and coach them in their areas of growth.
  13. Proven ability to meet deadlines in a high-paced work environment.
