The organization is a mission-driven entity dedicated to transforming education in India by integrating mental health, well-being, and holistic child development into government school systems. As part of its large-scale initiatives, it partners with stakeholders across multiple states to drive systemic change. To further its impact, the organization is seeking a Learning, Monitoring & Evaluation (LME) Manager to lead data-driven decision-making, enhance data infrastructure, and build capacity for evidence-based strategies that support adaptive management and long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Data-Driven Decision-Making

  • Oversee the national Learning, Monitoring & Evaluation (LME) strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and state-level priorities.
  • Design and implement structured LME frameworks at both the national and state levels, detailing key deliverables, indicators, learning agendas, and review mechanisms.
  • Supervise real-time data acquisition and analysis on program implementation, including training outreach, policy advocacy, and program scaling.
  • Ensure that leadership, managers, and field teams have seamless access to live data dashboards and consistently review insights to refine strategies.
  • Collaborate with research teams and government representatives to execute long-term evaluative assessments measuring impact at both systemic and individual levels.
  • Organize periodic learning reviews, ensuring that findings translate into meaningful strategic and operational enhancements.

2. Enhance Data Infrastructure

  • Develop and maintain real-time databases and interactive dashboards to track project developments, ensuring clarity and accessibility of data.
  • Facilitate access to data for key stakeholders, including government bodies, enabling them to use insights for decision-making, program ownership, and advocacy.
  • Maintain rigorous data integrity standards, ensuring all collected information is accurate, comprehensive, and effectively utilized.

3. Build Capacity for Evidence-Based Decision-Making

  • Train internal teams, leadership, and government stakeholders on data collection methodologies, interpretation techniques, and informed decision-making practices.
  • Design and deliver state-level training sessions to empower government officials in integrating data insights into policy formulation and program improvements.

Who Were Looking For

We are looking for a seasoned LME expert with a deep understanding of systemic change and strong expertise in data-driven decision-making within the Indian context. Prior experience in the education sector (civil society/government) and familiarity with India's education data landscape is highly valued.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in Learning, Monitoring & Evaluation (LME), data system management, or related domains.
  • Hands-on experience working within government education systems, policy reforms, or large-scale systemic transformation initiatives.
  • Proven expertise in developing, overseeing, and scaling complex M&E frameworks and data systems across multiple states or large-scale programs.
  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio), statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Stata), and data collection platforms (e.g., ODK, Kobo, SurveyMonkey).
  • Strong ability to derive actionable insights from real-time data, driving strategic planning and adaptive implementation.
  • Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams, fostering government relationships, and collaborating with external research institutions.
  • Experience in designing and executing capacity-building programs for internal teams and government partners on data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in English and Hindi (knowledge of additional Indian languages is advantageous).
