The Role:
The Investment Analyst/ Associate will work closely with our Partners and investment team, helping the organisation in identifying India's most exciting early-stage entrepreneurs building for climate, and then supporting them to scale up their ventures, thereby delivering extraordinary returns for our investors.
Key Responsibilities:
The Analyst/Associate will be responsible for:
- Evaluating investment opportunities, which would include sector analysis, secondary research, building investment theses, conducting due diligence.
- Assisting in closing deals writing investment memos, supporting deal documentation, stakeholder management, and post-closure processes.
- Supporting Investment Managers in portfolio management - product and growth advisory, hiring, strategic initiatives, fund-raising, and reporting.
- Supporting senior leadership in strategic initiatives on thought leadership, community building, and ecosystem development.
Required Qualifications and Attributes:
- Undergrad degree from a premier institute.
- 1-4 years of work experience across investing/consulting/investment banking/ start-ups.
- Experience with qualitative analysis, research, and business case development. Should have the ability to conduct primary and secondary market research and extract relevant insights.
- Understanding of business modeling and financial statements.
- Passionate about early-stage investing, technology, and start-ups; passion about climate impact and sustainability is a plus.
- Highly motivated, self-starter, proactive, and with high intellectual curiosity.
- Ownership driven, collaborative, should be able to work well in a small team.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to clearly and concisely communicate key findings and conclusions
