We are seeking a Manager for Women-Led Sustainable Enterprise Development who will design, implement, and manage programs supporting women-led non-traditional businesses, with a focus on sustainable development, capacity building, and stakeholder engagement. This role involves developing innovative business models, managing budgets, providing mentorship, and advocating for policies that promote women entrepreneurs. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with a deep passion for gender equity and fostering entrepreneurship.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage programs supporting women-led non-traditional businesses that foster sustainable development.
- Develop innovative business models aligned with organizational goals; while monitoring and evaluating outcomes to ensure they meet sustainability and economic impact objectives.
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of skill development and capacity building projects from inception to completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Responsible for the substantial reporting of the projects with quality outcomes and standards
- Build and maintain partnerships with local communities, NGOs, social enterprises, and government agencies to support women entrepreneurs.
- Organize events and workshops to connect these entrepreneurs with customers, investors, and mentors, facilitating networking opportunities.
- Create and facilitate training programs that focus on skills development, innovative business practices, and market access strategies for women entrepreneurs.
- Provide mentorship to enhance the capacity of women-led enterprises for sustainable growth and innovation.
- Conduct research to identify trends and challenges in non-traditional business sectors for women entrepreneurs.
- Use findings to advocate for policies that support the growth of women-led businesses and promote gender equity in entrepreneurship.
- Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation for sustainable initiatives.
- Identify funding opportunities, including grants and partnerships, to sustain and expand program efforts.
- Track program progress, sustainability metrics, and impact assessments for stakeholders and funding partners.
- Document best practices and success stories to share insights and contribute to continuous improvement within the organization and the broader community.

- Willingness to spend lots of time on the field & to travel extensively even alone

Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Reporting and Coordination:
- You will report to Assistant Programme Director in DAHQ.
- Coordinate with the corporate Communication and Knowledge Management unit for outcome and impact data collection, collation, and analysis.
- Coordinate all administrative issues with respective departments.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Masters degree in business administration, Environmental Studies and Social Sciences,
- Experience: - 6 to 7 years Experience in program management, particularly in supporting women entrepreneurs in non-traditional sectors or social enterprises.
