Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Communication Planning & Implementation
- Develop an overarching communications strategy aligned with JRF's goals and objectives.
- Implement the overarching communications strategy into actionable plans and tactics.
- Analyze market trends, audience insights, and organizational priorities to create a comprehensive plan that drives impact.
- Develop detailed communication plans for specific campaigns, initiatives, or projects under the JRF gamut and oversee their execution.
- Oversee content creation efforts and collaborate with content creators, copywriters, designers, and videographers to produce high-quality content for various channels.
- Closely monitor performance metrics, analyze data insights, and solicit feedback to drive continuous improvement and optimization of communication efforts.
- Manage the communications budget, allocating resources effectively to support various initiatives and campaigns.
Leadership and Management
- Enable and support a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the team.
- Provide leadership to the communications team, setting clear goals, systems, and processes that help optimize team productivity and performance.
- Guide the team toward achieving departmental and organizational objectives through effective communication and innovation.
- Strengthen and support JRFs collaborative and inclusive work culture where team members can thrive.
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of the communications team, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure tasks are completed effectively and efficiently.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Oversee stakeholder engagement initiatives, building and maintaining relationships with artisans, employees, donors, partners, and community members.
- Enhance reputation and impact through effective communication and relationship management.
External Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for media communication, public events, and industry forums.
- Cultivate relationships with media outlets, influencers, and partners to amplify the Foundation's message and reach.
- Represent the organization in certain settings as delegated by the founders
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in communications, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful communications strategies that drive impact and engagement.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving goals.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making and problem- solving.
- Expertise in analytics, SEO, and other relevant technical skills to effectively track and optimize communication performance.
- Experience in budget management and performance monitoring.
- Proficiency in English and Hindi; proficiency in other languages spoken in rural areas of India is a plus.
