As the Head-Strategic Communications, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and amplifying the organization's brand, driving visibility across national and global platforms, and building meaningful engagement with diverse stakeholders, including governments, corporates, foundations, and educational bodies. Your strategic mindset and expertise in media and digital communications will be instrumental in scaling their impact and narrative, fostering their purpose to transform learning outcomes through
personalized adaptive learning solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Communications Strategy
    > Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-channel communications strategy that aligns with organization's vision and objectives, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms and showcasing the impact of their EdTech solutions.
  2. Brand Management
    > Lead efforts to strengthen the organization's brand presence across digital, print, and media channels.
    > Establish the organization as a thought leader in education technology through effective storytelling and strategic positioning.
  3. Stakeholder and Media Relations
    > Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including governments, philanthropic foundations, and media outlets.
    > Oversee media interactions, both proactive and reactive, to increase organization's visibility in national and international platforms.
    > Lead targeted communication campaigns to sustain engagement with these audiences.
  4. Event Ownership and Leadership
    > Take full ownership and drive the end-to-end planning, execution, and follow-up of strategic events like round table conferences, industry forums, and panel discussions.
    > Ensure organization's visibility by managing every aspect of these events, building relationships, and aligning them with broader goals.
  5. Digital Marketing and Content Creation
    > Oversee the creation of high-impact, engaging content for social media, websites, and blogs. Collaborate with internal teams to produce compelling narratives that showcase organization's work and impact.
  6. Team Leadership
    > Lead and mentor the communications team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. Drive excellence across internal and external communications to elevate the organization's reach.
  7. Performance Metrics & Reporting
    > Regularly track the effectiveness of communications strategies, providing data-driven insights and updates to senior management. Adjust approaches as needed to optimize engagement and outreach.

Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies

  • Minimum 12-15+ years of communications experience, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role, preferably in the education, nonprofit, or EdTech sectors.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing large-scale communications strategies that enhance brand positioning and stakeholder engagement.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Extensive expertise in content, digital marketing, and media relations, with a strong ability to craft compelling narratives across various formats.
  • Proven experience in driving brand presence through effective digital marketing strategies, including social media, SEO, and campaigns, as well as managing media engagements to enhance visibility.
  • Strong leadership experience, with a proven ability to mentor and develop talent. Ability to work cross-functionally, influence internal and external stakeholders, and lead teams toward successful project execution.
  • A creative thinker with an innovative approach to problem-solving. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities while driving impactful communications initiatives.
