Founded in 2001, this non for profit organization operates with the mission to work with citizens and governments to transform the quality of life in India's cities and towns - the first being quality of urban infrastructure and services, that is, roads, drains, transport, water supply and the second is the quality of citizenship that is, the role that urban citizens can play by participating in civic matters.

About the Role -
This is a key independent position in the Fundraising and Development team at the organization. Someone who has expertise in partnering with philanthropic, multi-lateral, bilateral organizations and foundations will excel in this role. This role directly reports into the Head of Fundraising and Development.
Key Responsibilities -
- Work closely with the Head - Development, and senior program leads in conceptualizing multi-year program partnerships with Foundations, Philanthropies, Multilaterals (World Bank, ADB, etc.) and Bi-Laterals (USAID etc)
- Write and review funding proposals and concept notes to engage funder interest and convert to grant or revenue streams.
- Deep understanding of the philanthropy ecosystem and can stitch coherent and compelling proposals and presentations to aid the medium to long-term financial sustainability of the organization.
- Negotiating and finalizing funder requirements and agreements.
- Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with donor institutes
- Research and identify prospective bilateral, foundation, HNI, and corporate funders.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to relationships with major donors and high-net-worth Individuals, maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
- Develop strong working relationships with staff in all areas. Actively participate in planning and meeting goals as an integral team member
- Collaborate with team members in the organization to understand our diverse programmes and interventions
- Writing, editing, and overseeing the completion and submission of reports on all grants
- Keeping a record of all grant reports due during the calendar year
Qualifications and Experience
- Master's degree or equivalent in business administration, public administration, public policy, or other directly relevant fields
- More than 10 years of work experience in the not-for-profit sector
- Prior experience in Fundraising, Business Development, constructing funding proposals, and RFPs
- Experience in driving key partnerships and end-to-end project management
- Key ability to manager internal and external senior stakeholders
- Possess a solid understanding of budgets as they relate to proposals and grants
