Part of a fast-paced start-up like organisation and will have end-to-end oversight over the

1. Global partnerships and fundraising vertical

2. Work closely with CEO, leadership team, donors, external partners to nurture long term strategic partnerships and continued funding support

3. Build strategic engagement with the donors at different points in time. 

4. Collaborate with external stakeholders (regional and global teams, not for profits and coalitions) to tap on the current and upcoming opportunities in the energy space

Key accountabilities:

1. Partnerships and Fundraising Planning:

  • Prepare and own the overall fundraising plan in line with organisations strategic plan
  • Track pipeline and progress towards funding goals at weekly and monthly level
  • Conceptualise new initiatives within the organisations strategic plan to draw-in multiple donor interest and partnerships.

2. Partnerships:

  • Engage with the different country POCs with the CEO and relevant HODs for identifying current and upcoming opportunities in 
  • Not for profits: Support the CEO and Strategy & Solutions Head in tracking and sourcing potential partnership opportunities, identifying relevant coalitions convening to participate in
  • Coalitions: Engage with other foundations for collective proposals to new opportunities and enable knowledge sharing across practices being used

4. Fundraising:

  •  Opportunity Identification: Identify major national and multi-national corporates, foundations, bi-lateral and institutional donors to secure multi-year, mission aligned commitments to meet annual fundraising target
  • Network: Develop strong networks across different funding modes for strengthening the portfolio of donors
  • Grant proposals: Manage and develop funding proposals for current and future donors

4. Outreach and events:

  • Create and support initiatives such as stakeholder/consortium events, donor engagement programs, etc. for continued engagement and long-term funding support.
  • Develop an overall communications plan with Strategic Advocacy and Communications team for the donors covering key activities (e.g., reports, newsletters, fact sheets, etc.) and timeline of delivery

KRA/Success Metrics:

The success in the role for the candidate will be measured across the below mentioned areas:

1. Overall mission-aligned funding sourced and annual target achievement

2. Donors and size of donations in pipeline for long term funding support

3. Long-term, strategic partnerships fostered with the governments, not for profits and other organisations in the SEA region
