About the role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Fundraising Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in establishing and leading our fundraising efforts from the ground up. This position offers a unique opportunity to define fundraising strategies, set ambitious goals, and work closely with the Director and Head of Operations to achieve our mission.
Qualifications
- Graduate/Postgraduate in any field.
- 10+ years of successful fundraising in the non-profit sector.
- Strong network of potential donors and funding sources in India.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including grant writing and proposal development.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to set and achieve ambitious fundraising goals.
- Experience in managing fundraising budgets.
- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in donor management software and CRM systems.
- Passion for education and addressing social issues in rural India.
- Experience of having worked with Senior Management stakeholders
Functional Details:
Fundraising Strategy Development:
Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with the organization's mission and goals.
This includes identifying potential funding sources, both individual and institutional donors, grants, and corporate partnerships.
Goal Setting:
Define fundraising goals and targets in collaboration with the leadership team.
Create a clear roadmap for achieving these goals within specified timelines.
Prospect Research:
Conduct research to identify potential donors, foundations, corporations, and government agencies interested in supporting our cause.
Build and maintain a database of potential supporters.
Relationship Building:
Cultivate and nurture relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders.
Develop personalized engagement plans to secure financial support and long-term partnerships.
Grant Writing and Proposal Development:
Prepare compelling grant proposals and funding applications to secure grants from foundations, government agencies, and other funding sources.
Individual Giving:
Develop and implement strategies to solicit donations from individual donors, including major gifts, annual giving campaigns, and planned giving programs.
Corporate Partnerships:
Explore and establish partnerships with corporations interested in supporting our initiatives through sponsorships, donations, and employee engagement programs.
Events and Campaigns:
Plan and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to engage donors and raise funds effectively.
Budget Management:
Oversee the budget for fundraising activities, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and transparently.
Reporting and Evaluation:
Regularly report on fundraising progress to the leadership team and board of directors. Evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising strategies and adjust as needed.
