Job Description

The Retail Fundraising Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing retail fundraising strategies to support the financial goals of the organisation. This role involves managing retail partnerships, overseeing fundraising campaigns, and engaging with donors to maximize contributions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in platforms fundraising, crowdfunding, charity events, retail management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for non-profit work.

Primary responsibilities:

Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement retail fundraising strategies to achieve annual fundraising targets.
  • Identify and pursue new retail partnership opportunities.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to refine strategies.

Partnership Management:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with retail partners.
  • Negotiate terms and agreements with retail partners.
  • Coordinate joint marketing and fundraising activities.

Campaign Management:

  • Plan, execute, and monitor retail fundraising campaigns.
  • Develop marketing materials and promotional content for campaigns.
  • Track campaign performance and report on key metrics.

HNI & Individual Donor- Lead Generation and Engagement:

  • Cultivate relationships with donors and potential donors.
  • Develop donor retention strategies to ensure long-term support.
  • Organize donor recognition events and activities.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the fundraising team to align retail strategies with overall fundraising goals.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote retail campaigns.
  • Provide training and support to retail staff and volunteers.

Financial Management:

  • Prepare and manage the retail fundraising budget.
  • Monitor and report on the financial performance of retail campaigns.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and NGO policies.

Operations:

  • Oversee processing of donor receipts
  • Accountable for all day-to-day retail fundraising operations
  • Maintain and update donors' records on fundraising database & systems

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in retail management, fundraising, or related field.
  • Proven track record of successful fundraising or sales campaigns.
  • Experience in the non-profit sector is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and fundraising platforms.
  • Ability to set priorities, multi-task, plan work, and close commitments
  • Good working knowledge of Word/docs, excel/sheets, and presentation/slides is a must
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Preferred Education Qualification / Experience: Any graduate or postgraduate
  • 3-4 years of experience in fundraising with NGOs is preferable
  • Candidates with volunteering experience similar organizations will be preferred
