Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Engineer - Platform Innovations to lead our team of 15+engineers in scaling our platform as a service offering. This role is pivotal in driving technical excellence,architectural innovation, and strategic scalability for Indias largest early childhood education organization.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with multiple web application frameworks like Next.js and Laravel,and experience in building and scaling platforms, and proven management expertise to mentor and lead high-performing engineering teams.
Key Areas of Responsibility
1. Team Leadership and Management
Lead and manage a team of 15+ engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Provide mentorship, guidance, and career growth opportunities to team members.
2. Technical Excellence and Scalability
Oversee the architecture and development of scalable, high-performance platforms. Ensure robust platform services to support education-focused products at scale.
3. Strategic Platform Innovation
Drive strategic initiatives to enhance platform offerings and improve user experience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical goals with organizational objectives.
Responsibilities in Detail
Lead the design, development, and deployment of innovative platform solutions. Establish best practices in software engineering, ensuring maintainability, security, and scalability.
Manage team workflows, set priorities, and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
Explore and integrate the latest tools and technologies to future-proof the platform.
Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to deliver impactful platform features tailored to user needs.
Critical Success Factors
Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in Next.js, Laravel, and other web application frameworks.
- Strong understanding of system design, cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), and API development.
- Experience with microservices architecture and scaling platforms in high-growth environments.
Leadership and Management:
- Proven experience managing and growing engineering teams of 15+ members.
- Ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team while maintaining a high standard of technical delivery.
Strategic Thinking:
- Demonstrated ability to align technical innovations with business goals.
- Keen eye for improving user experiences and operational efficiency.
