Position Name: Development Associate Fundraising

We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Development Associate to join the team in Bangalore. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the fundraising efforts, ensuring the smooth execution of development activities and contributing to the growth of the organization.
Responsibilities
Fundraising Support
- Assist in the development and implementation of fundraising strategies and campaigns.
- Conduct research to identify potential donors, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and government agencies.
- Support the preparation of grant applications, proposals, and reports to secure funding from diverse sources.
- Help organize and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to engage donors and raise awareness about the organization's work.
Donor Relations and Communication
- Maintain and update donor records, tracking donations, pledges, and communication history.
- Assist in the development and implementation of donor recognition and appreciation programs.
- Prepare and distribute donor communication materials, including newsletters, thank-you letters, and impact reports.
- Serve as a point of contact for donors, providing excellent customer service and fostering positive relationships.
Data Management and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the donor management system.
- Assist in analyzing fundraising data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and identify trends.
- Prepare regular reports on fundraising activities, progress, and outcomes for the leadership team.
Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to the development team, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
- Assist in managing the development team's calendar and coordinating logistics for fundraising events and activities.
- Support the development team in other tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of fundraising efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as nonprofit management, business administration, marketing, or communications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or related roles within the non-profit sector.
- Proven track record in fundraising and managing donor relations.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for the organization's mission and a commitment to making a positive impact in underprivileged communities.
