Position Title: Manager / Sr. Manager / Director - Fundraising & Donor Engagement

Purpose: The Fundraising & Donor Engagement position will serve as a key leadership team member and an 
active participant in the organization's strategic decisions. They will work closely with the COO, to engage deeply with various corporate houses, philanthropists, foundations, etc. to build a strong fund-raising structure. They will be responsible for meeting the annual fund-raising goals while growing and diversifying its funding base.

Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Developing the organization's long-term fundraising strategy, and annual funding plans and ensuring fundraising goals are met.
  2. Diversify the funding base by adding new donors.
  3. Developing and maintaining key relationships with existing and prospective funders to develop a healthy funding pipeline across donor groups including institutional philanthropy, CSR, etc.
  4. Conceptualize and develop funding proposals and presentations for existing and potential new donors for program as well as new investment requirements. 
  5. Ensure accurate, timely, and complete donor reporting as well as discussion of the reports periodically with key donors. 
  6. Accompany donor teams on field visits both pre-funding as well as part of programme review meetings to the extent required; work with programme teams to address any issues identified during the visit. 
  7. Any other tasks may be assigned by the reporting manager. 

Qualifications:

  1. 8+ years of full-time professional experience. 
  2. 5+ years in senior-level fundraising/communication with CSR, institutional funders/account management experience in the social sector.
  3. Proven experience in developing and customizing fundraising strategies, and meeting fundraising targets is a must. 
  4. Demonstrated experience in handling both institutional and retail funding options will be a plus. 
  5. Demonstrated passion and commitment to working in the social sector. 
  6. Strong verbal and written communication. 
  7. Outstanding relationship management skills. 
  8. Strong existing relationships with major funders. 
  9. Well-rounded interpersonal skill set with the capacity to build strong senior-level relationships and work effectively in non-hierarchical teams. 
  10. Individual performer and ability to multitask.
