This role is focused on leading the product development team for large-scale digital products worldwide, ensuring the success of a platform that facilitates accessible, efficient, and transparent service delivery to citizens in critical areas such as health, urban management, sanitation, and public finance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations; facilitate planning meetings and publish release plans with milestones in collaboration with various teams.
• Serve as the central point of contact for assigned delivery tracks, tracking project progress, providing updates, identifying risks, implementing mitigation plans, and making necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify, track, and resolve dependencies, ensuring timely delivery.
• Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders, fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams.
• Establish engineering delivery processes and guidelines to ensure alignment with defined goals and drive activities toward successful outcomes.
• Provide thought leadership throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including system analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Advocate for development best practices while leading and managing the development team.
• Conduct regular change management sessions to address technology updates, collaborating with Architects, Tech Leads, and Managers.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in any field, with IT experience.
• Proven ability to lead multiple software/technology projects across different locations is essential.
• 6-8 years of total IT experience, with some exposure to web/mobile application technologies.
• Familiarity with at least one project management tool, preferably open-source options such as JIRA, Asana, Trello, or Microsoft Project. Experience with GIT, Gitbook, and similar tools is also preferred. Proficiency in Excel is a plus.
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and business leaders.
• An operating style suited to a small organization, where teamwork and resourcefulness are highly valued.
• Ability to work independently and proactively, with minimal supervision.
• Prior exposure to the urban governance sector, public sector, development sector, or consulting is an advantage.
• Good verbal and written fluency in English.
• Experience with Java and open-source technologies is a significant plus.
• Ability to synthesize information from different teams and consolidate it effectively.
• Experience leading teams in end-to-end development and implementation.
