About the EquiLead initiative at Climate Asia
The EquiLead initiative aspires to make organizations working for social impact more inclusive for women and thereby, increase women’s participation in the development workforce, especially at mid-senior levels. EquiLead's foundation stems from Arthan's 2020 Women's Leadership in the Development Sector study (WLIDS) study in collaboration with The Rockefeller Foundation, aiming to foster inclusivity and support women in the development sector to join, grow, and lead. ( Report )in 2020 and today as a full-fledged initiative aspires to make the development sector more inclusive and conducive for women to join, grow, and lead the workforce. Powered by an online platform and offline interventions the initiative will build a community ecosystem for women professionals to access growth opportunities spanning upskilling, mentorship, networking, and collaboration. Additionally, the initiative will work with social purpose organizations providing facilitation, resources, peer learning, and other forms of support that will help them accelerate their gender integration policies and practices.
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Expert to join our team. The M&E Expert will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective planning, implementation, and assessment of our programs and projects. This position requires a strong background in M&E methodologies, data analysis, and reporting to drive evidence-based decision-making
This role requires experience in working with implementation-based developmental organization/s, and proven experience in designing and executing robust Research Studies, Monitoring and Evaluation systems, and web-based MIS platforms. Should be able to set up processes to build the data collection team's capacity and assure data quality.
Key Responsibilities
- M&E Framework Development: Develop and implement comprehensive M&E frameworks for projects and programs, including clear indicators, data collection tools, and reporting mechanisms.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Design and oversee data collection processes, including surveys, interviews, and focus groups. Analyze data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for program improvement. Performing statistical tests to determine the reliability and soundness of results. Describing, interpreting, and summarizing conclusions. Presenting statistical findings to management in reports that include executive summaries, charts, tables, and graphs according to project demands
- Data Management: Establish a robust data management system, ensuring the security, accuracy, and integrity of collected data. Maintaining databases using statistical software programs, such as MS Excel, SPSS, or Stata. Ensuring the MIS system efficiently captures project/program data results at different levels
- Reporting: Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders. Present findings clearly and compellingly to inform programmatic decisions.
- Evaluation: Analyzing data using statistical techniques, formulas, and calculations. Lead and participate in project evaluations and assessments, including baseline studies and impact assessments. Assisting in designing and implementing research studies needs assessments, and evaluation surveys (Baseline, Midline, and Endline) using qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Capacity Building: Train project staff and partners in M&E methodologies and best practices to strengthen their data collection and reporting capabilities. Guide to running the ongoing program monitoring (MIS) system and revising the MIS system as per the requirement
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular data quality assessments and provide feedback to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Learning and Adaptation: Facilitate learning from M&E findings and recommend adjustments to program strategies as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of M&E activities, results, and lessons learned.
- Compliance: Ensure that all M&E activities adhere to relevant industry standards, donor requirements, and organizational policies. Monitor all program activities, budgets, and overall progress and provide strategic feedback to other operations, and research teams to improve implementation efficiency. Suggest strategies for improving efficiency and effectiveness by identifying bottlenecks in completing different activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, M&E, or related fields.
- 8-10 years of experience in M&E roles, preferably in the Impact Space
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, or Excel) and data visualization tools.
- Strong knowledge of M&E methodologies, including quantitative and qualitative data collection techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
