We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to head one of our client's Plastics Circularity business lines. Our client is a leading, industry-recognized for-purpose organization committed to creating a world without waste and waste pickers through innovative, inclusive, and circular economy business models.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and scaling their operations, managing P&L, and driving growth. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, operational expertise, and a commitment to community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to scale the Plastics Circularity business line, including expanding operations, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving growth.

2. P&L Management: Oversee the financial performance of the business line, including budgeting, and forecasting.

3. Operational Expansion: Lead the establishment of new aggregation centers, manage procurement processes, and ensure effective sales strategies to recyclers.

4. Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with the waste-picker community, ensuring their needs and perspectives are integrated into business operations.

5. Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure targets are met and identify areas for improvement.

6. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Ideal Candidate:

1. Experience: 7-10 years of experience in business development, sales, and P&L management, with a proven track record of scaling operations and driving business growth.

2. Educational Background: An engineering background is beneficial but not mandatory.

3. Skills: Strong operational and process orientation with excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

4. Growth Mindset: A demonstrated hunger for growth and innovation, with the ability to adapt to changing market conditions and challenges.

5. Community Focus: Passionate about social impact, with experience or a strong understanding of working with marginalized communities, particularly waste pickers.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.

2. Proven experience in managing large-scale operations and achieving ambitious growth targets.

3. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
