The organization researches working conditions and corporate conduct across a range of export-oriented industries, engages in worker education, and advocates for policy change. These initiatives are focused on the garment, leather, electronics, and coffee and tea plantation sectors. It is an active member of national and global networks working for the advancement of responsible business conduct and human rights.
Position Summary
As Learning and Internal Engagement Officer you will work closely with the Consortium Coordinator to cultivate an engaging and inspiring environment for learning and knowledge exchange across the consortium, honouring the unique expertise of each partner organisation to help drive the ambitious results
we are aiming to achieve by the end of 2025.
You will foster a sense of shared purpose and complementarity through designing an inspiring and meaningful programme, based on your (pro)active engagement with the different teams to understand both their needs and wealth of sharable knowledge. Your own growth mindset helps you identify, implement and/or maintain effective avenues and formats for learning and engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation of the learning agenda across various avenues (virtual meetings, learning management system, intranet, off-site events), considering result-oriented needs)
- Coordinate the learning group
- Ensure delivery of virtual trainings and/ or webinars; oversee off-site workshops or larger events (if applicable)
- Ensure close follow-up and reports for participants and lead functions
- Facilitate and streamline connections between the different entities within the consortium to help drive results towards our Theory of Change, based on participation in a selection of team meetings
- Curate relevant news and events from the teams to highlight on the Intranet (SharePoint)
- Conceptualise, develop and implement further internal engagement measures to ensure colleagues across the six partners can share/ exchange successes, key developments and learnings
- Ensure key decisions or outcomes of discussions within Steering Committee or Strategic
- Leads are documented and shared with the right entities within the organization, including agenda preparation and minute-keeping (recording and tracking of actions and decisions)
- Facilitate the annual planning and reporting in close collaboration with the Consortium Coordinator
- Supporting colleagues in effectively using internal environments for their work (SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Learning Management System)
- Maintain a current contact list
Skills
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills in English (spoken and written) are required
- Intercultural collaborator: you easily build networks and know how to work closely with your key stakeholders (from different cultural backgrounds) to create impact
- Creative mind: you easily translate practical learning needs into effective learning concepts
- Ability to organise work efficiently, effectively, accurately, and independently in a dynamic environment
- Ability to process and deal with complex, highly sensitive and confidential information
- Analytic mindset with an affinity for processes and procedures
- Excellent report writing and note-taking skills
- Bachelors degree in a relevant subject with min. 5 years of experience in similar role OR Masters degree in a relevant subject with min. 2 years of experience in similar role
- Digital skills (especially Microsoft Office/Teams)
- Knowledge of or affinity with the garment and textile industry is a plus
- The role requires working from their office in Bangalore, with possible travel within India and abroad.
