We aim to accomplish this purpose by developing contextualised, decentralised and resilient nature-based solutions through adoption of systems approach.

Qualifications, Experience and Eligibility

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Development Communications, Mass Communication, Journalism or similar relevant experience in Development sector, Advertising agency is good to have.
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in preparing communications collaterals, copywriting, social media posts, reports.
  • Good understanding of design tools for info-graphics and artwork and online publishing tools such as spark adobe, medium etc. Skills to use design software such as illustrator/ photoshop/Adobe design suite etc. (thelist is not exhaustive).
  • Knowledge of operating professional DSLR cameras, video and photo documentation
  • Excellent skills in inter personal relationship management with colleagues, vendors, media, supporters.
  • Ability to represent and deliver organisations communications needs, internal and external.
  • Should have worked with the media on a variety of levels and able to come up with new ideas to help the organization achieve its branding goals.
  • Skilled to prepare and edit a variety of communication materials in order to promote and publicize organisations work.
  • Exposure to direct, counsel, and manage other departments personnel w.r.t Communication needs Communicate with the media to help the brand achieve exposure in local as well as National media.
  • Flexibility to travel and attend networking events, meetings and conferences.
  • Gravitas to represent the organisation at the highest level within corporates, trusts and government at national and
    International platforms.

Job Responsibilities

The person shall be responsible for but not limited to in supporting the Communications vertical in the following domains/areas;

Communications Strategy and Plans:

  • Ensure all internal/external communication material is in sync with the revised, mission, vision and goals of the organisation.
  • Effective collaboration in identifying, recognizing, understanding and immersing into organisation's India initiatives and brand identity.

Internal and External Communications:

  • Build and manage photo bank/personal stories and case studies depicting key messages
  • Manage and produce monthly internal newsletter
  • Grow Social Media handles through A/V content showcasing organisation work@ 1 post a day
  • Develop and deliver podcast under guidance of program teams and Manager
  • Support building a media presence traditional and online, to communicate the challenges and impact of our
    work streams
  • Designing and compiling the Annual Report under guidance
  • Design of in-house collaterals and publications

Events related communications:

  • Organize communication materials for optimising presence at external conferences/ trainings /other events as
    necessary
  • Supporting the program team on field for need assessment, impact assessment, secondary and primary research
  • Supporting initiatives on climate change and sustainable development
  • Contribute to solutions that can contribute to systemic changes
  • Get involved in aspects of field assessments, measuring GHG emissions, impact measurement and enable steps for internal reporting of the same
  • Contribute to aspects of inclusion, gender equality and aspects of green jobs
  • Contribute to articulating, driving innovations and thought leadership that promote climate change and sustainable development into program interventions
  • Build collaborative and meaningful relations with all stakeholders.
  • Undertake field visits to project sites as required for gathering content, support program teams ensuring the successful implementation of communication activities.
  • Ability to work under high pressure and to submit high quality deliverables within short timeline, ability to work independently as well as be a strong collaborative team player

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of communication activities, including progress reports, case
    studies, and best practices.
  • Monitor and report progress, ensure quality implementation, coordinate tasks, and mitigate risks
  • Communicate and plan change management activities involving scope, schedule, etc.
  • Support preparation of knowledge management material

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with colleagues and project teams to integrate community mobilization activities into overall project strategies and objectives.
  • Constant communication and coordination with teams across multiple sites and areas.

Knowledge Sharing:

  • Stay informed about emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in the water and sanitation sector, and share insights with the broader team.
