Reporting to - Senior Manager

Key Responsibilities

Team Management & Content Development: 

  • Build and oversee an assessment content team dedicated to developing FLN assessments and learning materials, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and task management.
  • Conceptualize, plan, and execute research to enhance internal expertise and understanding of foundational literacy and numeracy content and assessment methodologies.
  • Develop and facilitate the creation of high-quality foundational literacy and numeracy content and assessment tools.
  • Lead training sessions, both internally and externally, focusing on the utilization of foundational literacy and numeracy assessment tools.
  • Manage timelines and team dynamics to meet project requirements, catering to the needs of all stakeholders involved.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to coordinate FLN assessment projects, from planning and execution to analysis.
  • Provide support for the implementation of FLN projects and contribute to data analysis efforts to evaluate student performance and identify learning patterns.
  • Generate reports tailored to the specific needs of FLN projects, ensuring comprehensive analysis and pedagogical insights.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all project deliverables and activities.
  • Conduct field visits to evaluate the implementation of FLN products and assessments, and engage with clients and evaluators to address implementation challenges.

Organizational Development:

  • Expand project reach through high-quality dissemination via working papers, publications, and other channels.
  • Conduct ongoing product-level analysis to identify strengths and areas for improvement in FLN assessments, aiming for scalability.
  • Support team members' professional growth and learning needs, particularly in pedagogy-related areas, to enhance overall capacity.

Skill & Will

  • Must-Have (one or two absolutely non-negotiable skills):  Experience leading teams of early educators. Speaking, reading, writing knowledge of Hindi and English
  • Good to Have (Any one of two skills which will be good to have): Additional languages and writing skills. Teaching experience. Ed-tech experience. 
  • Not Suitable For: Significant/frequent job hoppers

Knowledge, Experience & Qualification

  • Graduate/postgraduate in Early Education/ English/ Hindi or any other Indian language as one of the major subjects.
  • 5 years of experience in the education space with some experience as a team manager or lead. 
  • A master's or a bachelor's degree related to the field of education and development and/or a specialization in ECCE or related fields.
  • Candidates with relevant work experience in the design, implementation, or creation of FLN content.
