Senior Data Scientist

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Data Scientist specializing in Large Language Models (LLMs) to join and mentor our dynamic Data Science team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and artificial intelligence (AI), with a specific focus on the development, implementation, and optimization of LLMs. This role will involve working on cutting-edge projects in a unique domain: to drive better educational outcomes for young children in India. These projects include automatic child story generation, text to speech synthesis, and animation via deep generative modeling and state-of-the-art LLMs, and personalization using multimodal deep reinforcement learning.

Key Areas

Lead the development and implementation of our deep learning projects from end to end

Mentor and grow our team of data scientists

Key Responsibilities

Lead generative machine learning projects at organization from conceptualization to delivery and monitoring

Lead and mentor our team of data scientists, grow the team in capability and size

Areas of responsibilities

Make effective recommendations to expand and detail our generative machine learning road-map

Provide effective guidance to our team of data scientists

Be responsible for executing an entire suite of deep learning projects related to education

Critical factors for success

Strong first-principles knowledge of machine learning and deep learning

Advanced knowledge of Python, TensorFlow, and PyTorch

Experience building end-to-end deep learning systems, from prototyping (training from scratch, fine-tuning, or prompting) to deployment (using FastAPI, Docker, and Kubernetes on AWS)

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Bonus: knowledge of LangChain and vector databases
