About the Role

As the Head of Philanthropy, you will act as the strategic architect of fundraising initiatives. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will develop the fundraising strategy, manage donors and pipelines, and design, pilot, and execute comprehensive fundraising campaigns to secure long-term sustainability and growth. You will own the entire philanthropy portfolio, managing high-value relationships, expanding our donor ecosystem, and serving as the primary face of resource mobilization efforts.

  • Mumbai/Gurgaon/Bangalore (Remote working flexibility within the base location with travel across cities as per requirement)

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Fundraising & Campaign Leadership

  • Pipeline Strategy: Design and execute a robust strategy to build, cultivate, and maintain a high-value pipeline of institutional, corporate (CSR), foundation, and High-Net-Worth Individual (HNI) donors.
  • Campaign Management: Direct and oversee end-to-end fundraising campaigns, membership drives, and targeted resource mobilization initiatives.
  • Pitch & Proposal Architecture: Personally lead high-stakes pitches, creating compelling narratives, customized proposals, and strategic presentations for potential institutional and philanthropic partners.

Grant Management & Ecosystem Expansion

  • Network Extension: Actively leverage and expand fundraising network, identifying untapped sectors and strategic avenues for philanthropic capital.
  • Grant Stewardship: Oversee the end-to-end grant management lifecycle, ensuring meticulous reporting, compliance, and deep engagement with grant providers to secure multi-year renewals.

Brand Advocacy & Positioning

  • Promotional Strategy: Collaborate with internal teams to produce high-caliber promotional, pitch, and visibility materials that effectively communicate impact.
  • Public Representation: Represent at key external forums, philanthropy networks, and high-profile events to elevate the organization's narrative and attract capital partners.

Who You Are

  • Industry Expertise: A profound understanding of the Indian philanthropy landscape, evolving CSR mandates, global funding trends, and major institutional donor behaviors.
  • Proven Network: A strong, established network of relationships with corporate CSR heads, family offices, HNWIs, and large grant-making foundations in India.
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to influence executive-level stakeholders and build rapid trust.
  • Leadership Mindset: Strong analytical, strategic planning, and financial management skills. The ability to work seamlessly across teams, handle high-pressure goals, and navigate complex organizational priorities autonomously.
  • Educational Background: An advanced degree (MBA, Master's in Social Work, Public Policy, Communications, or a related discipline) is preferred, but not mandatory.
