Purchasing Manager

Our client is a leading provider of cement products for the construction industry.

Artemis is recruiting a Purchasing Manager with at least 8 years of working experience

Location: Bangkok

Responsibilities

• To source for potential suppliers & services  
• To coordinate with suppliers, subcontract for quotation, specification and related documents 
• Develop purchasing strategy 
• Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking 
• Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers 
• Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities 
• Purchasing all of Raw Material, Packaging, Factory Supplies, Spare parts and Machineries 
• Controlling delivery schedule of overseas and local sourcing.  
• Controlling and negotiating with suppliers for the most reasonable prices.  
• Able to analyze, compare term of price, quality, production and delivery lead time.  
• Searching for new attractive suppliers.  
• Define a specification and issue a contract for a new construction project inside each workshop.   
• Participate to internal audit for ISO 9001.  

 

Requirements

• Thai National, Bachelor or higher degree in Engineering
• Experienced in Logistics
• Computer literate (MS office, Outlook, SAP)
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 and Safety Management is a plus
• Able to travel
• At least 8 years direct experience in Purchasing in a manufacturing field 
• Good demonstration of Leadership behavior 
• Good English proficiency in written and verbal communication 
• Good talent in negotiating prices and analyzing the performance of suppliers  
• Mature, self‐confident, strong leadership and communication skills and initiative mind
