Build a Programme. Shape a School. Leave a Legacy.

Artemis SEA is proud to partner with a growing international school in Bangkok to recruit a Founding IB Diploma Programme Coordinator.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced IB educator who wants to do more than manage an established programme. You'll play a key role in designing, launching, and leading a new IB Diploma Programme while helping shape the future of a developing secondary school.

Working closely with the Head of School and senior leadership team, you'll have the opportunity to build systems, mentor teachers, influence academic strategy, and create a programme that will benefit students for years to come.

About the School

Our client is an established international school delivering a Canadian (Ontario) curriculum and is preparing to launch the IB Diploma Programme as the next stage of its academic development.

With growing enrolment and a strong pipeline of students progressing into secondary school, this is an exciting time to join the leadership team and make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

As the Founding IB Diploma Programme Coordinator, you will:

  • Lead the implementation and development of the IB Diploma Programme.
  • Coordinate the school's IB authorization and future evaluation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with IB Standards and Practices.
  • Develop academic policies, procedures, and programme documentation.
  • Support curriculum planning, assessment, and academic quality.
  • Coordinate examinations, internal assessments, predicted grades, and IB reporting.
  • Coach and mentor teachers in IB philosophy and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of inquiry, academic excellence, and student wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning and secondary school development.
  • Support teacher recruitment, academic planning, and university preparation initiatives.

We're Looking For

Successful candidates will have:

  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Experience teaching within an IB Diploma Programme.
  • Previous experience as an IB DP Coordinator or in a significant IB leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of IB authorization, curriculum, assessment, and programme standards.
  • Experience mentoring teachers and leading curriculum development.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills.
  • Fluency in English.

Highly Desirable

You'll stand out if you have experience with:

  • Launching or developing new academic programmes.
  • Ontario or Canadian curriculum.
  • International schools.
  • University counselling.
  • Accreditation or school improvement projects.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This role offers far more than a traditional coordinator position.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Build an IB Diploma Programme from the ground up.
  • Join a school during an exciting period of growth.
  • Work directly with school leadership on strategic initiatives.
  • Influence the future direction of the secondary school.
