They are seeking an experienced and motivated Assembly Manager to oversee the assembly and packing processes in their production facility. This role is critical to ensuring efficient operations, timely delivery, and continuous process improvements.

Job Description

As an Assembly Manager, you will be responsible for leading and optimizing assembly and packing operations, managing a large workforce, and driving process efficiency to meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the assembly and packing teams, overseeing 150+ employees.
  • Ensure timely completion of finished goods, aligning with shipment schedules through coordination with production planning, assembly, and packing teams.
  • Develop and implement detailed assembly plans, considering schedules, resources, and budgets.
  • Monitor assembly progress, adjust schedules as needed, and provide status reports to management.
  • Set clear, achievable targets for direct and indirect team members, providing motivation and coaching.
  • Ensure all team members receive necessary training and maintain required qualifications.
  • Optimize production processes through analytical methodologies to improve efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Manage budgets for assembly projects, identifying cost-saving opportunities and resource optimization strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations, fostering a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Conduct quality checks, troubleshoot issues, and initiate corrective actions to maintain production excellence.
  • Develop and present component flow strategies, production improvement plans, and investment proposals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • European educational or work experience background is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Assembly Manager or 7 years as an Engineer in a related industry (e.g., toys, jewelry, or similar manufacturing).
  • Strong track record of driving productivity improvements.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with experience managing and motivating large teams (150+ employees).
  • Effective communication, presentation, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure while strategically and operationally managing production processes to meet targets.
  • Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, depending on project requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (AutoCAD/3D design experience is a plus).
  • Good command of spoken English (TOEIC 500+ or equivalent required).
