Job Description: Quality Engineer
Position Overview:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring quality throughout the process by implementing, controlling, and updating the Quality Management System (QMS). This involves establishing procedures to guarantee the quality of products and ensure smooth operations and manufacturing processes. Additionally, the Quality Engineer oversees the Metrology department and Incoming Inspection to uphold product quality standards.
Minimum Formal Education Required:
- Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant field.
Particular Requirements:
- English Professional Level.
- Proficiency in analyzing problems using 8Ds analysis.
- Familiarity with quality tools such as PFMA, SPC, CP, and PPAP.
- Knowledge of Quality Management System and experience in conducting Risk Analysis.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Quality software.
- Experience working with Metrology departments and overseeing calibration procedures.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Implement and control the Quality Management System to ensure process control at the plant in MTY.
- Promote awareness and provide training on ISO 9001:2015 standards, ensuring their correct application within the organization.
- Maintain control of QMS-related documents, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 certification requirements.
- Manage and control metrology equipment calibration procedures in MTY.
- Ensure the quality of products received from suppliers at the MTY plant, including handling claims and conducting root cause analyses.
- Manage warranty claims related to external processes, collaborating with relevant departments and external parties.
- Administer Quality resources in operations to ensure continuous quality assurance.
- Develop new Quality practices through process improvement initiatives to meet customer requirements.
- Monitor internal Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Analyze root causes of internal Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and implement preventive and corrective actions using methodologies such as 8D.
- Facilitate communication between customers and relevant departments regarding product claims.
- Implement, trace, and control inspection plans for processes and units shipped to customers.
- Manage the quarantine area, oversee material entry and movements, and ensure inventory control and reduction of materials in the quarantine area.
Minimum Experience Required:
- Experience in implementing and controlling QMS.
- Proficiency in managing SharePoint or similar software for QMS systems.
- Experience managing Metrology departments, including administration and calibration of measuring tools.
- Experience in conducting Internal audits to ISO 9001:2015 standards.
