About the job General Accountant
Overview: A leading International Manufacturing Company. Dedicated to delivering high-quality products while maintaining excellence in operations. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to join our team.
As a General Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards, including both US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and Mexican GAAP. Working closely with the finance team, you will be responsible for various accounting functions related to the manufacturing operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
- 7 Years of experience in accounting roles within the manufacturing industry.
- English 70%
- Validated Tourist USA Visa for travel.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in accounting software ( SAP,) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting principles, including inventory costing methods and overhead allocation.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and Mexican GAAP.
Your primary duties and responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Recording and reconciling financial transactions related to manufacturing activities, such as inventory, cost of goods sold, and production expenses.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assisting in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing valuable insights into manufacturing costs and variances.
- Collaborating with internal departments, such as production, procurement, and logistics, to ensure accurate cost allocation and inventory valuation.
- Supporting external audits by providing documentation and explanations for financial transactions and procedures.
- Analyzing financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control policies.
- Participating in special projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
