For the expansion, of our client we are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Director to lead and oversee manufacturing operations in Monterrey. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in manufacturing leadership, project management, and continuous improvement methodologies. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, the ability to drive organizational change, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing leadership, project management, or equivalent experience.
  • Additional training or experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Target Operating Model (TOM), or JIT manufacturing is required.
  • Proven track record in P&L management, people development, strategic planning, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy:
    • Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with company objectives and expansion goals.
    • Build and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
    • Manage P&L for the facility, achieving target Operating Margin and ensuring financial performance.
  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee daily manufacturing operations to meet production schedules and quality standards.
    • Implement and monitor plant loading and resource plans to improve competitiveness and profitability.
    • Ensure all employees are informed about communications, decisions, policies, and other matters impacting their roles.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to drive continuous improvement in production processes.
    • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that reflect operational performance and enable ongoing enhancements.
  • Quality & Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality standards.
    • Direct essential programs including workplace safety, training, housekeeping, and sustainability.
  • Budget & Resource Management:
    • Prepare and manage budgets to meet operational goals and optimize resource use.
    • Take proactive corrective actions as necessary to address operational issues and ensure effective management.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Collaborate with sales/marketing, new product development, and global operations to enhance business coordination and share best practices.
    • Prepare and present performance reports as needed, and participate in cross-functional teams to drive business success.
