About the job Continuous Improvement Manager
Position Summary:
This role reports to a Plant Manager. The CI Manager entails overseeing the implementation, initiation, and ongoing application of continuous improvement principles in the manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Mexico. This individual will collaborate closely with the Plant Manager and the Monterrey Project team to identify and prioritize opportunities, as well as support the team in implementing activities using lean tools. Additionally, the CI Manager will directly oversee a range of specific and intricate improvement projects aimed at enhancing customer metrics, cost reduction, safety improvement, quality enhancement, and working capital reduction. This leader will be responsible for leading the plant's team of CI Engineers and CI Technicians.

Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in Manufacturing/Engineering. Experience working in a maquiladora is a plus.
- 5+ years of Leadership experience and in process optimization, operations, or business management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing, production, and information systems.
- Demonstrated use of analytics and metric alignment in continuous improvement.
- Competency-based use of lean methodology (Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, SMED, etc.).
- Must be fluent in both Spanish and English.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create synergies with the plant management team to meet or exceed financial cost reduction targets.
- Promote and facilitate the development of a continuous improvement strategy and lean principles.
- Train leadership team members and employees on the sustainable approach to continuous improvement.
- Lead and develop CI Engineers and Technicians through career development and coaching.
- Ensure alignment of objectives and projects of the CI team and the facility.
- Participate in regular workshops and learnings with other Plant Continuous Improvement leaders.
- Facilitate workshops on continuous improvement and creative problem solving.
